The business history of Rocky Road Firearms
and why the name, and what we do!
The company, NewUsedEquipment, Inc. (a small Iowa Ag Corp.) applied for and was granted a Federal
Firearms
License in November 2019. It was not known at the time, but it was a very poor time to start a firearms
business.
In early 2020 & 21, first the pandemic and
then the racial unrest cleared all inventory of firearms and ammunition.
The demand was so high it wasn’t until in early 2022 limited inventory was
available for resale.
During this time period in 2022, to place
food on the table, I continued my employment in Ag sales. Currently 2023,
with adequate firearms inventory built for sustained sales, it's time to move forward.
It has been a “Rocky Road” and with divine help; we are
back with Clay Targets Flying and Guns Blazing.
